Gérald first joined the Val Thorens skiing area as a trainee in 1980, and has now been teaching skiing and snowboarding for over 36 years. Gérald's passion for these disciplines is one of the main reasons behind his decision to become a ski instructor. He also enjoys teaching and sharing his enthusiasm with others.
More specialized in snowboarding, Gérald also offers free ride and off-piste outings. Depending on your level, Gérald can take you to some of his favorite spots in Val Thorens, such as Le Blanchot, Le Plan de l'Eau and the Lac du Lou area. Pure wonder!
Gérald admits he particularly enjoys the sensation of floating on powdery snow: a joy that is unique to off-piste riding. Outside his teaching hours, he enjoys many other board sports, including windsurfing, paddleboarding, skateboarding and more. He was also lucky enough to travel to the town of Queenstown, New Zealand, to snowboard.
