Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, has 150 km of slopes for all levels and offers breathtaking panoramic views. Its legendary descents are renowned throughout the ski area and promise exceptional thrills every time you hit the slopes. Here are three slopes with spectacular scenery, technical runs and ideal ski conditions that you don't want to miss during your stay in the Alps!

1/ The Mont de la Chambre blue slope

The start of the Mont de la Chambre blue run is at an altitude of 2,887 m, with a panoramic view of the Lauzière mountain range to your left and the Vanoise National Park to your right. An exceptional landscape, which will also give you the chance to contemplate Mont-Blanc, right in front of you, when the weather conditions are favourable.

Throughout your descent, you'll be able to take full advantage of a wide slope to fully appreciate your surroundings. Snow-covered mountains and red Funitel cabins: a total escape.

If you want to explore the 3 Vallées ski area, you can also opt for the blue piste at Lac de la Chambre once you reach the pass. This descent takes you down to the resort of Méribel, finishing amidst the fir trees.

2/ The red Asters slope

The red Asters slope takes you to new heights for a unique experience. After taking the Funitel de Thorens, you'll be at an altitude of 3,000 m on the Col de Thorens.

A vertiginous landscape awaits you, with a panorama of the Péclet glacier on one side and a breathtaking view of the Maurienne and the Chavière glacier on the other. A little further on, the Asters piste is quite steep, giving experienced skiers a chance to try out a variety of activities before returning to the blue Génépi piste below.

A wide and pleasant descent, which you can continue on the Cairn blue run to switch to another side of the Val Thorens ski area, thanks to the Boismint chairlift.

The Boismint chairlift gives you a different view of the Massif du Péclet, as well as a view of the resort and the Vallée des Belleville. You'll discover an enchanting setting, as well as the red pistes of Haute-Combe and Boismint for unique sensations.

3/ The Combe de Rosaël black run

For the more experienced, the Cime de Caron cable car takes you up to one of the highest peaks in the resort, at an altitude of 3200 m.

Between Tarentaise and Maurienne, you can enjoy a 360° view of over 1,000 mountain peaks! It's a breathtaking panorama, and an opportunity to take to the black pistes of the Combe Rosaël.

Adrenalin and thrills are guaranteed before you return to the blue Gentianes piste, which takes you up to Plan Bouchet, at an altitude of 2,350 m.

You can then explore the resort of Orelle, or head back up over the Col de Rosaël and back down to the Tarentaise on the red Falaise slope, to find your way back to Val Thorens and its many après-ski activities!
