The mountains offer a magnificent setting for a holiday that's both sporty and relaxing. At the heart of the 3 Vallées, the resort of Val Thorens promises you a breathtaking holiday.

To discover all the secrets of the ski area, your instructors will take you on a tour of their favourite spots. Here we have selected the three best slopes not to be missed in Val Thorens.

Moraine: the long blue run of Val Thorens

One of your instructors' favourite slpoes is the Moraine. This is a long blue slope, served by its own gondola, with a medium level of difficulty.

As soon as you start to feel comfortable and confident on your skis, you'll have the chance to explore this slope, which is so popular with the resort's instructors.

Not only is it an ideal playground, it's also one of the slopes you'll be able to enjoy all season long. Thanks to an artificial snow-making system, there are no limits to winter in Val Thorens.

Boismint to Plan de l'Eau: a long, thrilling descent

The descent from Boismint to the bottom of the Plan de l'Eau chairlift is almost universally acclaimed for its thrills and spills.

Although these are two separate slopes, they link up naturally, giving you a long run with a vertical drop of almost 1,000 metres. Boismint also provides access to the Les Ours red slope, which is also very interesting for top-level skiers.

Our instructors' tip: try these beautiful slopes in the early hours of the morning, after grooming, on a sunny day. You'll enjoy a spectacular setting and some of the best snow around.

The Boismint and Plan de l'Eau slopes are red slopes. In fact, this is a straight and relatively steep descent, requiring a degree of control. This secret spot is therefore reserved for seasoned skiers with a few seasons' experience behind them.

The Péclet massif

Overlooking the Val Thorens resort, the Péclet massif has numerous crevasses, opening the door to unforgettable ski outings. The slope generally ranges from 35 to 40 degrees for intermediate to intense difficulty.

Depending on the season, some faces of the massif will be more accessible than others. But no matter what time of year it is, you can be sure to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Val Thorens resort.
