Lady's Camp: an off-piste day reserved for women in Val Thorens!

Published on 18/03/2026 - Written by Nadège
In Val Thorens, the ski school has launched a number of initiatives. In addition to the traditional ski and snowboard lessons, it is now possible to try out other activities, such as fat biking, snake gliding, paragliding and ice climbing.

In addition to this fixed offer, original events are also organised by the team, such as the Draisienne Cup and the 3 Vallées Teen Day. Even more recently, esf Val Thorens has developed a 100% women's day devoted to off-piste skiing. Discover Lady's Camp, a timeless adventure reserved for women.

Off-piste day in Val Thorens: for which women?

To make this 100% women's day a reality, certain conditions have to be met. For example, we expect between 5 and 8 participants at each Lady's Camp. If the group is not formed before the chosen date, it will be difficult for our esf instructors to organise the activity.

In addition, women skiers must have a good level of skiing ability, as off-piste skiing requires a certain amount of experience. For safety reasons, you need to be comfortable on a red slope and perfectly capable of making turns. The minimum age is 15. To make the most of this experience, register with our esf offices (100 euros per person - safety equipment provided, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe) or fill in our pre-registration form.

How is this all-female off-piste day organised?

Each off-piste day starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm. So you've got plenty of time to make the most of your women's outing, improve your off-piste skiing and discover new spots. The meeting point is in front of the Visitor Centre, near the Val Thorens tourist office.

Before getting started, the esf organises a friendly break with a hot coffee and croissant, so that you can get to know each other and build up your strength. Your esf instructor then gives you the go-ahead, and the day begins with a few warm-up turns on the slopes and off the markers.

After that, you'll head off-piste to Lac du Lou for some gentle skiing in a wild, natural setting, away from the ski lifts. Before heading home, a comforting lunch will be organised at the Lac du Lou refuge, at an altitude of 2,035 metres.

Plan your women's holiday in Val Thorens!

If you're planning to spend a weekend or a week's holiday in Val Thorens, with sisters or friends, or as mother and daughter, you should easily find something to keep you busy on site. The esf alone offers a number of sporting activities alongside Lady's Camp (skiing, fat biking, etc.).

After all that physical exertion, why not take a well-earned break in a Savoyard restaurant or spa (sauna, hammam, treatments and massages, etc.). Your stay in Val Thorens will be all the better for it!
