First of all, we recommend a night snowshoe outing with the ESF Val Thorens, especially if you're feeling adventurous. This will allow you to discover the Tarentaise valley in a whole new way. In the dark, lit only by the moon and your headlamps, you'll follow your guide and make your way in peace and quiet, lulled by the soft sound of fresh powder under your snowshoes.

Do you know what a fat bike is? Over the last ten years or so, the electrically-assisted fat bike has been on the rise in Europe, attracting more and more people, both cyclists and the curious. This fat bike with oversized tyres is ideally suited to difficult snowy terrain, offering optimum grip at all times. As a result, it's very popular in the mountains all year round.
In winter, the ESF Val Thorens regularly offers fat bike outings in the afternoon. When night falls, the experience becomes even more magical, as silence reigns supreme on the slopes. The lights on the bikes mean you can keep an eye on your surroundings and move forward at your own pace, in complete confidence. The night-time experiences offered by the Val Thorens ESF always leave lasting memories with participants. And what if your children also enjoyed these events during their holidays? We particularly recommend the children's torchlight descent, which takes place at dusk.
It's worth noting that ESF students and others can all take part in this night-time parade, as long as they book a place in advance. Accompanied by state-qualified instructors and lit by safe electric torches, the children will light up the Val Thorens slopes, before the tender eyes of their parents. A magical event to be enjoyed every year during the Christmas and February holidays!
